Hot Wedding Trends for 2013

Fresh Faces!

So much has happened here at the Colleyville Center since the renovations in 2010!  We have hosted over 1,100 events and counting…Everything from weekly support groups, garden club meetings, seminars, and fundraisers to birthday parties, baby showers, weddings and receptions!

Lin Przybyl, the longtime manager of the Colleyville Center has retired to spend more time with her family.

The Gallery doors get a new coat of paint and set out to dry - with hats on
to keep off the dust. So smooth and shiny - they look like fine furniture!

Day 13

Look familiar? The Center's old reception desk has been recycled to the Senior
Center where these Seniors and volunteers have given it a new home.


In place of the reception desk the Colleyville Center will have dazzling
new pre-function space with rich finishes, new lighting and a few surprises
behind sliding doors. It will all be coming together in the next few weeks!

Day 12

It looks quiet but there's alot going on with electrians, plumbers, tile setters, painters,
AV and acoustical technicians - all making it happen!
The best is coming this August!

"Just cover me with the box when you start painting!"

Staff, phones and computers have a temporary home offsite during the renovation - it's
business as usual - booking for next Summer's events. The fax machine stayed behind to
collect the catering contracts, which continue to arrive for August and September events.

Day 3


The Gallery is ceiling to floor scaffolding to allow consistent application of the acoustical ceiling. Over 100 linear feet of double rows of scaffolding are in place - 34 scaffolds - end to end!

Last Event and Demo Begins











The excitement officially began tonight! The Center hosted its last wedding reception before the renovation. The beautiful Bride and her Groom left just before midnight and with some last minute clean up and goodbyes from the staff the demolition crews moved in with machinery to remove the tile floors.
